Rok gets 11 out of 11 for CEL Group!
Rok won the contract to develop 11 websites for the CEL Group. We have completed seven and are currently working on the eighth which is due for completion at the end of July.
CEL is a leading provider of business services to the private and public sector. Having recently gone through a massive expansion programme and restructure they needed an online presence for their newly-defined CEL group business, along with the 10 divisional or product businesses within it.
We wanted to help CEL define what they wanted before the design process began: using our knowledge of web design to plan an infrastructure that would deliver their business objectives, in the most powerful and cost-effective way.
To achieve this, we took a two tier approach. Firstly we looked at the branding and creative to make sure that they were consistent across the whole group. We then created a structured site map containing the websites for every individual business, which allowed CEL to see the big picture. This allowed us to create a suite of websites that were logical and easy to use, saving the client time and money.
Each website within the suite works as a standalone site, but also complements the others since they were designed to feel like they are part of a group. This holistic approach not only strengthens the relationship between the brands and creates a group synergy, but most importantly helped to keep CEL’s costs down.
And because the sites were designed as a group, they were based on the same content management system. Since each additional site was just another ‘bolt on’, all the hard work was done at the start.
The result was a streamlined and extremely cost-effective group websites, built to the W3C Accessibility and Best Practice standards.
